Transformers must withstand tremendous loads and potential short-circuit faults over a 40-year lifespan. This requires robust winding design to survive initial and critical stress levels. We can produce Ultra-High Voltage (UHV) transformers up to 500 kV, which are critical for transmitting large power loads across long distances while minimizing energy loss. Controlling the manufacturing of vital components like high-quality bushings and on-load tap changers (OLTC) is crucial for consistent quality and overall reliability. Using rigorous testing methods, such as applied voltage testing, helps ensure the insulation resistance is sufficient to withstand extreme field conditions. For large power transformers (>100 MVA), directed oil-cooling methods are preferred, and using superior dielectric materials (mineral or specific ester oils) helps manage high temperatures and prolong lifespan.
